On Saturday, September 13th, OSPCA volunteers participated in the OSPCA Tag Day fundraising event and could be found at certain locations throughout Shelburne with their pets where a donation of any denomination could get you a tag indicating your support for this noble cause.
Local volunteers on this occasion were Marg Robertson, Sandra Chmarney, Sherri Smith, Kierstyn Bissel, Karen McKinnon, and Shelburne’s OSPCA Thrift Shop, Paws & Claws store manager, Jean Miller.
Miller reminds, “The OSPCA is 100 per cent reliant on donations, the funds raised by the two thrift stores and various special events.”
The annual Friends for Life Walk–A–Thon takes place Saturday, September 20th in Orangeville and Miller points out there is still time to collect pledges, and take your dog for a walk in support of the OSPCA.
