Normac Chapter, Shelburne held its regular stated meeting of the “Year of Music, Wine and Roses – Our Precious Moment of Time” on November 10 under the direction of Gail Elderfield and Dave Smiley.
Evelyn Beacock, a General Grand Chapter committee member on rituals and Past Grand Matron of Ontario was in attendance, along with Past Grand Patron’s Mike Beacock and our own Arnold Townsend. Many Past District Deputy Grand Matrons were also in attendance to pay tribute to Audrey Oldfield, who was honoured as organist.
Audrey has been organist for many years. The music and entertainment that she has provided over the years are very precious to our chapter and to the District, and Grand Chapter. Thank you, Audrey, for your special talent, we all appreciate it.
Donations were made to our three local Christmas Cheer Banks, Grand Valley, Shelburne and Dundalk. Also a donation was given to a local family as a benevolent act.
A very special evening came to a close with great fellowship and lunch served by the Grand Valley Group.
