Tim Hortons Shelburne celebrates official grand opening

October 15, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Although the Town of Shelburne has been enjoying the much anticipated arrival of Tim Horton’s coffee for weeks, the store’s official grand opening occurred on Friday October 10th with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. Shelburne’s CAO John Telfer, Mayor Ed Crewson and Councillor Walter Benotto welcomed Tim Horton’s Regional Marketing Manager, Tom Babic, Tim Hortons Owner/Operator, Anne Marie Cresswell and staff to the Town of Shelburne. Only in Shelburne a short time, Tim Hortons, with the help of Shelburne residents purchasing Smile Cookies for one dollar, were able to donate $1,444 to the Matthews House Hospice as part of Tim Hortons Annual Smile Cookie Campaign donating 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale of each cookie to charity. A momentous occasion marking years of work by Shelburne’s Mayor and Council bringing Tim Hortons to Shelburne, also became emotional as the years of planning finally came to fruition. All the rewarding effort resulting in making Shelburne the wonderful place it is.
