The Poppy Campaign begins on Friday October 31st. Sign up sheets are at the branch. Remembrance. It’s What We Stand For. We know that every November you pin a poppy to your lapel and then – on the eleventh day of the eleventh month – take a moment to honour and remember those who served our country. For that we – and our veterans – Thank You. There were 18 million poppies worn in 2013, which as a result, raised over $12 million to support Veterans and their families.
Early Bird ends on November 30th, don’t miss out on your savings for renewal of your membership.
This Friday October 31st is Hallo–Wing Night. Everyone is welcome. There will be best costume prizes for the kids. Remember the little ones must leave by 9:30 p.m. and that the children must be supervised by their parents at all times. There will be best costume prizes for the adults after 10 p.m. This is a free event, donations to the food bank will be excepted and appreciated. Look for the big barrel at the door.
Remembrance Dinner tickets are available at the branch $15 each, with cocktails at 5 p.m. and dinner served at 6 p.m. Limited number of tickets available.
