Abuse of authority

Dear editor:
Further to my previous letter commenting on the Creemore Echo article dated Dec. 5, 2014 covering the inaugural meeting of the Mulmur Township Council. In the article, three former members of the past council refer to the past four years as a “dysfunctional term of council resulting in police charges and legal battles”. I know firsthand that there were NO police charges, which are public record, resulting from the alleged dysfunctional council and their stating so is slanderous. All “legal battles” were a direct result of the three returning members of council and their policy decisions and their inability to compromise, to work cooperatively with other members of council and landowners in resolving bias and unfair by-laws.
The Mulmur Township Website published documents ofthe pending legal action naming Paul Mills, Heather Hayes and Earl Hawkins. Libel and slander, and breech of charter of rights violations have been filed against them as a direct result of their publishing a condemnation and denouncement of the duly elected former Mulmur Township Deputy Mayor Rhonda Campbell Moon. All three members personally, politically and financially gained by their actions which were a blatant disregard of the democratic process, offensive, harsh, unlawful and a colossal abuse of their authority. Stay tuned…
