• Make & Take Folded Pot Holder: Thurs. February 26th. Drop in between 10:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m. with your sewing machine.

Pick out a themed fabric or bring something from home for your mom, favourite hostess or cooing buddy. Tuck in a fun cooking utensil and your world famous recipe – what a great gift!

Cost: three items for the food bank

• Learn to Quilt: 6 weeks – starting Tuesday March 3 from 6:30 – 9 p.m.

Always wanted to learn to quilt? Self-taught and would like to hone your skills? Six weeks and you’ll have a small project done.

Cost: $60 (+tax), plus fabric

• Junior Learn to Quilt Class for ages 9 and up. Six weeks – starting Thursday, March 5, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

In addition to learning all the basic quilting techniques, you will have a small Rail Fence quilt done. Must be comfortable threading a machine and sewing a straight line.

Cost: $50 (+tax), plus pattern and fabric

• Free Form Curves with instructor Elaine Quehl. Tuesday, April 21st, 9 a.m. to noon.

We are very excited to have this renowned quilter here for two classes. Cut curves free-hand and see how easy it is to sew them together for a truly original design and then join Elaine for some Liberated Applique on Tuesday, April 21st, 1 – 4 p.m.

This technique allows creative freedom to focus on painting a flower with fabric without the worry of fusibles or turning edges under. Petals and leaves are cut free hand.

Cost: Take either course for $45 (+tax), plus fabric or take both for only $80 (+tax), plus fabric!
