On Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of February, officers from the Nottawasaga OPP and the Dufferin OPP were out on the trails again conducting snowmobile patrols.
The Dufferin Trail Busters OFSC Club teamed up with the OPP officers and conducted a Radar Run on a trial near Highway 10.
Overall officers met 210 snowmobile riders in the Nottawasaga OPP area and 90 riders in the Dufferin OPP area. The patrols produced, 9 charges including speeding, no trail passes, trespass to property, or suspended driving. One snowmobile driver was under suspension for Impaired Driving and due to that suspension; his snowmobile was impounded for 7 days.
OPP Officers and OFSC Club volunteers will continue to conduct patrols throughout the remaining winter season. Ride safe and keep warm.
