On February 18th, members from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) executed CDSA (Controlled Drug and Substances Act) warrants at a Mono and Orangeville residence.
While executing the warrant officers located a quantity of drugs, believed to cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana as well as a conducted energy weapon (Taser), body armour and a quantity of cash.
David Robert John Edwards, 24, from Orangeville was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Schedule II Substance and 2 counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon and Disobeying Court Order.
Nancy Edwards, 49, from Orangeville was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II substance and 2 counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance.
The accused persons were held in custody overnight and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on February 19th to answer to their respective charges.
