AJ Cavey, owner of Cobwebs and Caviar, and a crew of local concerned quilters, are creating dog and cat beds for the Orangeville OSPCA.
These beds, made from leftover materials as donated by the community, go to animals in care, waiting to find their forever homes.
Can you imagine what it would be like if your family gave you away, or surrendered you for bad behaviour or change in circumstance? Of course you can’t, but this is a pets reality sometimes. Now, if someone dropped you off a comfy bed, it might just make your days a little brighter.
A simple pattern to sew, but AJ’s philanthropic actions are not.
As such, AJ is always accepting materials and stuffing for her beds, which are delivered to the OSPCA in bulk as they are prepared. In fact, there are 18 ready to be dropped off next week.
The best part is, the animals get to keep their beds after they’ve been adopted – giving them a familiar sight and smell as they acclimatize to their new family home.
Cobwebs and Caviar is located at 147 Main Street West, Shelburne. For more information call AJ at 519 306-3000 or visit them online at www.cobwebsandcaviar.com
