Tractor blown off road

On April 10, 12:20 p.m. Dufferin OPP were dispatched to a tractor trailer forced off County 124 by strong winds north of Hornings Mills in Melancthon Township. The vehicle rolled over on it’s roof.
The male driver was extricated from tractor after being trapped for over an hour by Shelburne Fire Dept and Dufferin EMS.
Air ambulance attended but male driver was transported with serious life threatening injuries by land ambulance to area hospital. The winds are and continue to be very strong at the scene.
The Dufferin County Rd 124 between County 17 and 21 will closed for several hours while OPP Technical Traffic investigators process the scene.
Update: The male drivers condition has been upgraded to serious but not life threatening injuries.
