Young lives have been touched

Dear editor:
On behalf of Shelburne Youth for Christ/The Door Youth Centre, Steering Committee I would like to thank the Shelburne Free Press for the excellent coverage of the council meeting in which the council granted us $5000 for the ongoing expenses of the Door in our community. The article written was extremely well written and researched.
I would also like to thank the Mayor and Council for their support and for the grant they gave us. It is because of the support of Council, the newspapers and the community that enable Shelburne Youth for Christ/The Door Youth Centre to serve the youth of our community. We would be remiss in not thanking the Shelburne Churches and some of the Orangeville Churches who are involved in this work, support us financially and provide us with Board and steering committee members, and volunteers for drop-in. We owe a debt of gratitude to the churches in our community for establishing Youth for Christ and keeping it going.
For the Mayor and Council and the paper for their support. Many young lives have been reached because we have pulled together as a community to serve our youth.
Once again I would like to thank the Shelburne Free Press for their support and coverage.
Debbie Harrison
On behalf of the SYFC Steering Committee
