On Tuesday, November 11th, officials from the Town of Shelburne gathered to unveil a new digital LED sign that will become a permanent fixture outside Shelburne Town Hall. According to Shelburne Mayor Ken Bennington, “this new sign will become a focal point in our historic downtown core, providing residents and visitors’ key information about our community, and providing us an opportunity to showcase events, happenings and news that is important to share.” The sign comes at an important time for the Town of Shelburne, as they embark on a strategic economic development exercise that will help provide direction for the future of the Town. The importance of the heritage downtown core continues to be brought forward during consultations about the plan with stakeholders. The new sign will become an anchor in the preservation and revitalization of the downtown core. The new LED sign, provided by Libertevision Ontario, will be used by the Town of Shelburne to highlight news, events and happenings of importance to the community, residents are encouraged to watch the sign for regular updates.
