On Saturday May 25th at 10:30 a.m. Dufferin OPP were on vehicle patrol and observed a 1997 GMC Jimmy pulling a homemade trailer Northbound on 4th Line of Melancthon Township. The vehicle slowed down and failed to signal a left turn into the Melancthon Landfill Site.
Police stopped the vehicle and lone male driver exited the vehicle and police detected an odour of alcohol on his breath. A radio check revealed his driver’s license was currently under suspension.
The driver failed a Road side screening test for alcohol. The driver 45 year old Alfred Seibold of Southgate was arrested for Operate Motor Vehicle over 80 mgs of alcohol.
He was taken to Dufferin OPP detachment where provided two samples of his breath into the Intoxilyzer.
As result Mr. Seibold was charged with Operate Motor Vehicle over 80 mgs and released at 1:09 p.m. He will appear in Orangeville Court on June 11.
