Hearts Wide Open for Autism benefits local special education programs

Deanna Avison of Hearts Wide Open for Autism in Shelburne, delivered a cheque for $5,200 on April 21st to the Upper Grand District School Board in Guelph. (Left to right) Deanna Avison, Bonnie Talbot – Superintendent of Education and Jan Stokman, Executive Assistant at UGDSB. The funds for the Upper Grand Learning Foundation were raised at a mystery dinner held at the Shelburne Golf and Country Club on April 2. The money will be distributed to elementary schools in Shelburne (Hyland Heights, Centennial Hylands, Glenbrook and Primrose) to use in Special Education Programs to purchase essential tools.
