Shelburne Muskies trailing by one game in series with Milverton Four Wheel Drives

There’s no doubt that Shelburne Muskies fans are a loyal bunch.

A good contingent of them filled the stands on Saturday (Feb. 11) night to see the Muskies take on the Milverton Four Wheel Drives at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex (CDRC) for game two of their playoff series.

The Muskies came up short in the first game of the series on Feb. 5, taking a 5-2 loss to the Four Wheel Drives on Milverton home ice.

On Feb. 11, Muskies gave up the first goal of the night but battled back. At the end of the third period, the game was tied at four, and the teams returned to the ice for overtime to decide the winner,

The Muskies took the OT win 5-4 to make it an even series.

The teams were back on the ice the following day, in Milverton for game three of the series.

This time the Muskies gave up a 2-1 loss. Milverton now leads the series 2-1.

In the other A series, the Shallow Lake Crushers lead the Lucknow Lancers, 3-1.

In the WOAA AA playoffs, the Seaforth Centenaires are leading the Durham Thundercats 3-1.

The Ripley Wolves dispatched the Petrolia Squires in four games to win that series.

The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks are leading the Creemore Coyotes 2-1 in their series.

On Sunday, the Tavistock Royals won 4-2 over the Minto 81’s in game five. Tavistock now leads that serious 3-2.

Shelburne will host game four of their series with Milverton on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the CDRC.

Game time is 8:30 p.m.
