Oatman’s Classic Car Show was better than ever this 2014! With automobiles ranging in age from the classic 1919American Ford Model T called the ‘Runabout’ to Rat cars, to Mustangs, this show had something for everyone.
Oatman’s Metal Shop &Classic Car Restoration Shop is a family run business located just 5km West of Shelburne, but are generations deeply steeped in Shelburne.
Taking Best in Show this year, 1955 Chevy Belair owner, Brian Sargeson, Second Place went to 1951 Chevy Sport Coupe, Bob Doner, while Third Place went to Joe Corcoran for his 1931 Ford Coupe. With no shortage of winners, People’s Choice went to Pat Conway for his 1971 Chevelle SS, Best Modified, Gord and Lyn Maxey for their 1951 Chevy, Best Original went to John McCulloch for his extremely ornate 1939 Hearse and Most Unique went to Shelly &Trent Stuntz for their 1946 Mercury Rat Rod.
“All the car enthusiasts, amazing volunteers and all our sponsors helped to make the car show a great success,” said Josh Oatman.
What a tremendous success the show was, with a fantastic turn out, great weather, Shelburne’s Street Festival and for the first time, Show, Shine & Ride Motorcycle Contest and fundraiser, the Main Street of Shelburne, and Owen Sound Street was an automobile and motorcycle lovers’ slice of heaven. From speed to style, Oatman’s Classic Car Show 2014 really had it all!
