R.I.D.E. program leads to two drug charges

Shelburne Police were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on Owen Sound Street overnight on Friday June 20th into Saturday June 21st. This program ended up in the occupants of two vehicles being charged with possession of marijuana. The first vehicle, a green Chrysler 300, entered the R.I.D.E. program just before midnight. The second vehicle, a white Hyundai Elantra entered just after midnight. Both vehicles had evidence of marijuana use or possession with in them launching road side investigations by the officers. As a results of the investigations 27 year old Michael Dalrymple of Creemore and 28 year old Nadia Matin of Mississauga were arrested and charged with one count each of possession of marijuana. Both were released on appearance notices with court dates in July.
